We're excited to have The Moscow Trip's CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR party down in our basement, with support from Big Drug and Sweet Easy Peelers!
The Moscow Trip
London’s most exciting and unpredictable band. Have you ever heard a fierce boogie-woogie number about the badger cull? How about an up-tempo gospel number calling for Ainsley Harriott’s return to television? It’s like a cross between TV Burp and Sister Act. Or Noel’s House Party and Hairspray. Storming around the UK like a bull in a china shop, The Moscow Trip have ripped up the rulebook about what a live music act can do. With a massive emphasis on audience fun, their rollacoaster of a set quickly climbs to Queen at Wembley, twists through a corkscrew reminiscent of Springsteen in ’78, nosedives towards James Brown at full force before looping-the-loop around every other genre you can think of. There are storming Ukranian folk songs about ten-pin bowling, funky room-shakers about riding on the nightbus (complete with a ‘TFL’ chant) and even a seaside singalong about getting chips thrown in your face. A guaranteed great night out.
Sweet and spicy, with woody undertones. Effects range from a dreamy, mellow haze to heavy, psychedelic euphoria. Pungent aroma. Home-grown in South London.
Sweet Easy Peelers
Where unimaginable chaos is harnessed by strictest order, endless darkness coexists with blinding light and all manner of contrasts react together to create a sound so intense, so exciting, and so curiously affecting, that it is sure to bring the walls of Babylon crashing down... Put more simply, the Sweet Easy Peelers take all sorts of music, and then set them on fire.
